Uni Hong

What is Hong's Background in Global Energy Business?

Before joining bp, Hong worked at P&G Korea and Korea Eximbank. At bp, Hong was responsible for business development, strategy establishment, and implementation across hydrogen, petroleum, LNG and ammonia. She reviewed business profitability and investment feasibility while managing global energy and hydrogen business portfolios.

In 2021, Hong served as Chief of Staff to bp's Head of Technology. She progressed to leading the company's hydrogen and ammonia business development organization in 2022. From 2023 onward, she led bp's Global Hydrogen Origination, overseeing hydrogen business development, government coordination, and policy engagement globally.

The Group expects that Hong's execution capability and global network will enhance business competitiveness across future energy businesses and accelerate hydrogen ecosystem expansion. The Group plans to accelerate the creation of a global next-generation energy ecosystem and advance greenhouse gas emissions reduction. Hong replaces Ken Ramirez who stepped down due to personal reasons.
